Discover Our Wondrous New Forest Christmas Break
It all kicks off on Monday 23rd December for those attending our Christmas break. New Forest guests are encouraged to enjoy everything the hotel has to offer, with facilities that include an indoor swimming pool, massage room, and beautifully designed outdoor gardens. There’s also plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Once you’re done, enjoy an informal dinner in the Terrace Restaurant.
Day two of our New Forest Christmas break starts with guests being served mulled wine and mince pies – a real festive treat! Guests are encouraged to relax before being served with a glass of Prosecco and canapés. There’s an opportunity to meet our team, which is then followed up by a three-course dinner and coffee.
For Christmas Day, we’re pulling out all the stops. Begin the next leg of your Christmas break in the New Forest with a full English breakfast. Later, a traditional three-course Christmas lunch with coffee will be served, followed by the Queen’s speech at 3 pm. The day will be rounded off with a relaxed buffet supper, served in our restaurant.
Boxing Day once again starts with a full English breakfast, followed by a relaxing buffet lunch. The afternoon is yours to spend how you choose, and we’re happy to recommend some great activities to pass the time. Make sure you return for the evening, however, as a grand dinner and disco will serve as the finale of your New Forest Christmas break.

Back in 1995, Ian Huddleston purchased Passford House Hotel, but the hotel’s history dates back even further. In the 16th-century, it served as the home of Lord and Lady Arthur Cecil, Queen Victoria’s private secretary. The name of the hotel stems from its status as an old ford which served as the main connecting route between Lymington and Sway – “pass the ford”.
